Total storage of around 6TB for photos and movies (so I don't have to scale for a year or so) I can use parallels and switch back and forth using my FAT32 partition but I want something compatible with both Windows and OSX, formatting all storage media in FAT32 being the simplest option from what I have Linus The only reason I'm not moving everything to the Mac formatting is because your youtube channel has inspired me to build a performance desktop for getting back into PC gaming, and hopefully some 3D modeling fun Recently ran into the issue while consolidating backups of having a mix of NTFS, FAT32 and Mac formatted drives in my box of storage media.
Basically went with a Macbook Pro as my personal laptop in order to have the stability and reliability of a unix system without having to climb the Linux ladder.
#Ntfs or fat32 for mac network drive archive
Been trying to decide on a backup solution and more importantly a file archive solution to keep a lot of old files and family data safe (mom isn't too tech savvy). Long time PC user who switched over my personal computing to a Mac after engineering school.
